Dalhousie, Dunnottar & Eilean Donan Castle – August promises to be a bumper wedding month!

Lots of ticking and crossing of check lists going on over here at HCW as we get warmed up for our August weddings.

Our first August couple are Laura & Cory from Virginia who will be getting married at one of our (and your!) favourites….Dalhousie Castle.

Then it’s Nichole & Pete’s turn – they’ve chosen to have their wedding at the stunning Eilean Donan Castle (Pete will be wearing the Ancient Campbell of Cowder tartan).

And then on the 18th Katrina & Daniel from Snohemish will be taking their vows at the majestic Dunnottar Castle near Aberdeen.

Photographers, flowers, harpists, ministers, celebrants, dress pressing, candles, cakes, pipers and kilts …………..here we go! Congratulations to all our lovely couples – we’re so looking forward to welcoming you in Bonnie Scotland – och-aye!!

21 June 2011…. the gorgeous rich purples worn by the bride, groom and other gents in the wedding party brought a special warmth and Celtic touch to Brian & Julee Robson’s wedding at Eilean Donan Castle. Scotland was having a moody day and rained for much of the wedding but as Mother of the Bride Donna McGee said it just made it all that much more perfectly Scottish!

“I don’t know where to begin in telling you how pleased we are with all the elements that came together to make Brian and Julee’s wedding perfect! Even the rain made it special! I just know you two ordered that special touch…that was THE touch of Scotland! You and Lesley are awesome! The flowers…the cake…the piper…the kilts! We can hardly wait to see Steve’s pictures. Balgonie couple’s little beauty

Thought we’d share these beautiful pics from Scott and Reisha who got married at Balgonie Castle on October 10, 2009. It was quite the ceremony with doves and pipers and whisky tasting and a string quartet…a huge celebration. And now, 2 days ahead of Mum & Dad’s anniversary little Kaylyn Ara appeared on October 8, 2010.

Your first photos as a couple are pics you will have forever, and while we know your wedding shots will be always cherished – your trip to Scotland is a once in a lifetime experience – so why not add on another session of photography to your stay, this time a location shoot somewhere beautiful and just the two of you……….

How does it work?…just let us know you’re interested, whereabouts you will be travelling and we can add a quote into your wedding estimate, AND we’ll organise it all as part of your overall wedding costs.

Dunnottar Castle, Castle Stalker and Eilean Donan Castle have been chosen as venues by our June couples and we’re getting ready to welcome Ina & Aleksej; Meghan & Justin; Julee & Brian and Rebekah & David.

We’ll start to share some background about them all in the upcoming weeks so you can get to know them! And in the meantime join us in wishing them all luck and love and steady nerves for the run up to the Big Day! You’re in good hands….and HCW and all our fabulous service providers are firing on all cylinders and full steam into the 2011 Wedding Season!

So far, summer in Scotland has just been beautiful! One blue sky day after another – just look at this pic of Gretchen on her wedding day (April 29th) in Edinburgh. We’ll be following up with a photo gallery just as soon as everyone’s back in Texas and had a chance to see the pics themselves! We hear it was a perfect day…and LOTS of photos were taken, not least of all by all the tourists visiting the castle that day!
